Hair Care : Tangle Teezer

I recently broke the handle on my flat plastic tooth hairbrush and was in the market for a new one.

I was in Target looking to buy the same brush as purchased before because it filled it's purpose fine when I came across the Tangle Teezer.

This cute little hand held detaingling hairbrush does exactly what it claims. It's patented innovative teeth make it easy to comb through your hair quickly with tangles being no match.

I used the Teezer on wet hair straight out of the shower and I can honestly say it glided through my hair with only 1 or 2 tuggs which is huge for my hair. I also used the Teezer for a mid day brush through on dry hair and it worked like a charm.

The size is compact enough to carry with you in your purse and it comes in an array of fun colors on their website. I purchased mine from Target at $9 and they only had pink available in store but a fun Tangerine color online.

On their website there are a few more versions available like the Salon Elite for professional styling, the Compact Styler for on the go which comes with a protective case that keeps the teeth free of fluff and dirt, the cutest Flower Pot version geered for kids, and the newest Aqua Splash for brushing at the pool or beach!

I'm in love with my new purchase, looking forward to trying other versions and sure I will never go back to the traditional flat handled brush ever again.

Back From A Long Break

Well my short summer hiatus plan turned out to be a little longer than expected......well a lot longer than expected. I am back and ready to blog like never before with all new inspirations and a cutelittle subject matter.

I found out last June that I was pregnant and wanted to take a little break from blogging to enjoy my pregnancy. I had all intentions to resume back in the Fall/Winter however personal things kept me from doing so.
I decided to get my Esthetician license which had me working full time and attending school full time at night while being pregnant. As you can imagine I was very very busy and literally had no time to even see my husband much less blog :(

40 weeks later on March 5th 2014 at 6:29am I had my beautiful baby boy Kade Daniel Isagawa. 8lbs 1oz and 20in long. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes on. I can't believe my husband and I created such an amazing being!

My Birth Story in short went like this: After 29 hours of laboring with intense back labor, throwing up, contractions ever 2-3 minutes. They broke my water, I received and epidural at hour 27, pitocin shortly after that and only dilated to 3cm the entire time which led me to have a c-section. All I have to say is everything I didnt want to happen happened and when it was all said and done I could have really cared less. All I really wanted was a healthy and safe baby! So to all of those expecting mothers out there as soon as you have your "plan" be prepared to rip it up :)

This incredible journey that has become, will be the most challenging yet most rewarding thing I will do in my life and for that I feel blessed.

Peonies : How To Prepare for A Vase

My local Trader Joe's alway has beautiful blooms of the season and one of my favorites to pick up are Peonies. They are so fragrant and beautiful when they bloom. I also love large blooms like hydrangeas and with only a few Peony stems you can create a full vase.

I often use the internet and eHow when I need direction or how to so I wanted to share the tutorial for how to cut and prepare peony for a vase. Hope you enjoy.

How To: Refrigerator Organization OverHaul

A few Groceries I picked Up at Trader Joe's
*GF = Gluten Free

Blueberries: Great for snacking on or adding to yogurt or *GF oatmeal
Esparagus: This is my go to veggie for dinner. Super quick to saute and they are packed with nutrients and antioxidants.
Protein Bars: I don't eat protein bars but my husband loves them as a mid day snack or for post and pre work out. Make sure they are low in sugar and high in protein and include other vitamins or minerals.
Yellow Squash: Also great for getting veggies in and I have found very tasty baked

Avacadoes: Love avocados on *GF toast, mixed with salsa for instant guacamole, or on top of turkey burger patties.
Crumbled Feta: I just recently discovered this Feta by a blogger named Andee from the Honeybee blog. This is so so good and I add it to most salads or even in rice or quinoa dishes.
String Cheese: Great for and on the go snack. Just make sure its skim or non fat.

Baked Lentil Chips : In love with these crispy full of flavor chip. I dip them in guacamole and hummus.
Fage Greek Yogurt : This greek yogurt is delish and packed with protein. This is a great on the go breakfast or if you are in the mood for something sweet but don't want to have a cheat date and eat that piece of blubbery pie.
Pinapple Juice : I love this juice, it reminds me of my vacationing in hawaii. Pineapple juice not only taste yummy but it also has great health benfits. It contains folic acid a vitamin that is essential for women wanting to or that are pregnant. It is also good for your skin and maintaining a natural water balance.
Vanilla Oat Cereal: The hubs loves this with skim milk for a quick breakfast in the mornings.
